Dan Brown once shared in his MasterClass how he keep himself motivated. He created a mock book cover for his book, “Secret of Secrets” due for release tomorrow. By looking at it, he could tell himself the book was already existed—he just needed to write it. I loved that idea.
So I designed a cover for my own book and set it as the wallpaper on my Apple iPhone. Every time I checked the time, I saw my book staring back at me, reminding me of the commitment I’d made. It wasn’t just a design… it was a promise.
That simple trick worked. I finished the first draft in just over 90 days. Keeping that cover in front of me kept the project alive in my mind, so even when I wasn’t at my desk, I was still writing—thinking, plotting, and imagining.
Here is my mock cover below for The Entity:

I also have another novel I am outlining. It is a supernatural legal thriller, Ghost of a Chance:

I know the novel already exists in my mind. I just need to write it.
